NUS Health & Fitness Club is organizing fitness courses suited to all individuals.

Courses Time Cost
Yoga (by Min Chao)
Creates balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility done through the performance of poses, each of which has specific physical benefits. Students will be taught basic poses, breathing and meditation techniques, with focus on the individual poses as a means for healing, strength building and flexibility.
Wed 6-7pm S$40

Tummy.Butt.Thigh (by Jansen)
Targets those 'stubborn' trouble spots with concentrated strength and toning exercises to firm and tone all supportive muscles of the mid-section, hips, buttocks and upper legs.

Wed 7-8pm S$40
Kickboxing (by Jansen)
Learn the fundamentals of punching and kicking. Each session builds on the basic techniques of the art of MuayThai while building fitness and muscle tone at the same time.
Wed 8-9pm S$40

Pilates I (by Lena)
A mat based Pilates class that works the core muscle of the body, including the deeper muscle of the abdominals, back, shoulder blades and buttocks. Students will learn the basic principles and a series of exercises upon which the entire Pilates method is built, which will increase their body awareness, breath coordination, strength, flexibility and physical ease and improve posture, core strength, and form.

Similar course as Pilates I.

*All are beginners' courses; Each course has a maximum intake of 35.

 

Kindly take note that there will be NO classes during Recess Week and on Deepavali (26th Oct).

Yoga & Pilates- Sportswear (Mat will be provided)
TBT & Kickboxing- Sportswear with SHOES

Course registration is starting.

In this academic year (AY2010/11 Semester 2), H&F offers a variety of group exercise courses; Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing and TBT (Tummy/Butt/Thigh). Registration is now closed; thank you everyone for you support!

All classes will begin in Week 3 (Jan 24th or 26th) of AY2011/2012 Semester 1. "Basic" courses are suitable for all levels, beginners are welcome! Each course consists of 10 sessions.

All classes are held at the SRC Dance Studio.

NOTE:
Registration fees are non-refundable, with the exception of clash in timetable with lecture/tutorial slots only. All request for refund has to be made by the end of Week 2. Also, please be informed that it would not be a full refund if you have attended the lesson.
